llifo

Llifo is a half hour film exploring the people and landscape of the Teifi valley in West Wales. Interviews, live action footage and stop motion photography were mixed to weave a layered narrative reflecting the river’s journey from the mountains to the sea.

The project was a collaborative one, directed by Sean Vicary and Steve Knight with Ceri Rhys Matthews acting as musical co-ordinator.

This excerpt features the voice of Caradog Jones, water balliff for over forty years, as he lists the names of all the pools on the Teifi over its 73-mile length.
